Thank you so much Debbie. I should not be surprised about things like health conditions and physical charcteristics, but being less afraid of heights, less motion sickness, and which icecream flavor I like impressed me. Anyway, it is too much data to have online. Hopefully, it is truly gone after I deleted it.

Wow you really have long roots here in the US. It would be interesting to see that ancestry but I agree DNA information being online is a risk I did not consider at first. Hopefully mine is gone after I deleted it. Someone mentioned it may not really be gone, which is a possibility. That depends on the honesty of the company.

Yes you are right Pooja. Mine was pretty boring though. Just one region on earth. My wife’s was a lot more interesting. She was all over Europe, Western Asia, middle east, and other places, and on top of it she is born in Brazil.

Ha ha yes maybe you should sue Dada. We submitted our Leonbergers DNA to the University of Minnesota via the Leonberger Health Foundation International. It was for health related research, specifically genetic illnesses. University of Minnesota is not going bankrupt. His DNA is safe.

I’ve often thought about doing this, but never pursued it. Good thing, it seems! I’m glad you were able to delete your info, Thomas, and I’m sure this post will help others as well.

I never actually did a genetic test, but I know family members who have. That said, I have long found genealogy interesting. My ancestors have been in America for a long time, going back to Plymouth and other early colonies. In fact, my last European ancestor moved over to the Americas around the end of the Revolutionary War. Because of that, I’ve long considered one of the online DNA tests, but always been a little hesitant because it would put such personal data out on computer networks.

Just think what would happen if my genetic data escaped!”Chaplin: “It’s a bit late to worry about that, isn’t it?”Java Bean: “What do you mean?”Chaplin: “You do remember that Dada posted an entire game show series featuring yours and Lulu’s Embark results and people trying to guess what breeds went into both of you, right?”Java Bean: “He did?! Can I sue him?”
